Pay fishing lakes offer some of the best cat fishing and carp fishing available in the United States of America. They are usually stocked weekly and have good concentrations of Catfish and Carp! Per acre, they are stocked annually with 80% to 90% more fish than any state lake or public reservoir would offer ! The catfish are healthier and better for you to eat than river fish. Most stock farm raised grain feed catfish for you to keep, just like the ones you get in fine restaurants. Unlike government lakes, pay lake owners have to make the Cat fishing and Carp fishing good or they will go out of business. Pay lakes are the wave of the future for our cat & carp fishing industry. They are responsible for keeping thousands of fisherman actively into Cat & Carp fishing. Banks are usually easily accessible which is also great for anglers with handicaps, and the snag/hang up rates are low.

Like-wise if you see one listed on here that is out of operation and closed, please let us know so that we can delete it.
There are a few pay lakes, like Indy Lakes pay lake and RV campgrounds in Indianapolis that we do not recommend because of a dispute we have received from at least one or more of our members concerning the fishing pools and money pay-outs. Others maybe marked because of bad fishing reports or lake conditions and cleanliness. Most of these are marked. These are not in any specific order.
 I'll say this again ! We do advise you to call the pay lakes before you go so that you can be assured they are open.

It is on state road 7 about halfway between Columbus and Scipio. We have some mighty big flatheads and blues ! We do stock 800 to 1000 lbs. of Arkansas channel cats per week. Open 24/7 including holidays.
From Martinsville: Take 252 to 31 south. go to I-65 and go south to 46.go east on 46 into Columbus. stay on that street past the sheriffs dept and go to state st which is a right turn over a bridge. stay on state st out of town where it turns into st. hy 7. go to 900 n where u will see sign on left.
if you get to Scipio you went to far. after you turn on 900n keep going straight and you can't miss it. good luck to ya if you get a chance to go.

I do not recommend fishing at Indy Lakes on the south side of Indianapolis.
There has been a conflict with the catching of a catfish and the catfish pools that are run at Indy Lakes.
The angler was told he had won, they even figured it up and told the angler how much money he had won, down to the dollar amount, and then they took it away and refused to pay out !!!  
That angler feels like he was lied to and cheated, and can you blame him !!! This angler will never go back or fish there again !!!
I have also seen a few other complaints about this sort of thing happening to other anglers who fish at this pay lake.

My son Joey caught a winning fish at Hubbards Pay Lake. It was an 18.8 lbs. flathead and put up a fight you wouldn't believe. It was caught on goldfish. He also did catch one small bass. He did miss two other good hits.
The fish my boy caught was 18.8 lbs. It was the big fish caught in the 6:00 pm to 6:00 am fishing pool. The pay out was $92.00. Its so nice to go to a pay lake that really pays out, un-like another so called pay lake on the Indianapolis south side area.
